2025年2月1日——弥迦的圣灵良知

人物：弥迦·王，11岁

正如之前的故事所述，我认为弥迦已经进入青春期阶段。我相信弥迦大约从10岁（还不到10岁）就开始了这个阶段，一直持续到现在。最近几周，我注意到弥迦的态度发生了显著变化。

首先，当我给弥迦一些反馈时，他不再为自己辩解。例如，过去如果弥迦不够负责任（比如早上上学迟到），我会问他是否可以给他一些建议，告诉他下次如何做得更好。通常他会非常防御性地说："这不是我的错，我迟到是因为最后一刻要去洗手间"等等。而现在弥迦会说："爸爸，你说得对。对不起我迟到了，下次我会做得更好。"

另一个例子是当他想要某样东西但没能如愿时。比如有时我会给朋友电视时间，这意味着弥迦可以和朋友一起额外使用屏幕设备，这部分时间不计入每周配额。有时我会同意，有时会拒绝。过去如果我拒绝，弥迦会一直追问为什么。有时我不得不告诉他不要再问，甚至因为他继续追问而给予惩罚。现在，他只问一次，当我拒绝后，他会尊重我的决定，转去做其他事情。

出于好奇，我和弥迦进行了一次谈话，询问他发生了什么变化，并称赞他态度的转变。弥迦说他向上帝祷告，祈求"圣灵的良知"。他用这个词让我非常惊讶。我问他这是什么意思。他说以前他会向上帝祷告，希望自己不被抓到。当他偷偷超时使用屏幕设备时，他会祷告上帝帮助他不被发现，不要因为超时或撒谎而受到惩罚。他这样祷告了一段时间，但祷告没有奏效，他还是被抓到并受到了惩罚。

因此最近，他不再祷告"不被抓到"，而是祷告自己能够顺服，做圣灵良知引导他做的事。弥迦的话让我非常感动。显然上帝确实垂听了他的祷告。我也祷告求上帝赐给我圣灵的良知。

20.  2/1/2025 – Micah’s Holy Spirit conscience

Who – Micah Wang, 11 years old

What – As seen in earlier stories, I believe Micah is already in his teen phase. I believe Micah started when he was around 10 (a little under 10). It continued until now. In the last several weeks, I noticed a dramatic change in Micah attitude. First, when I give some feedback to Micah, he is no longer defensive. For example, in the past, if Micah was not responsible (for example, he is running late for school in the morning), I will ask if I can give him some feedback, how he can do better next time. Usually, he will be really defensive and say, it is not my fault that I am late. I had to use the rest room last minutes … etc. Instead, Micah will say, Dad, you are right. I am sorry I am late. I will do better next time. Another example is when he wants something but doesn’t get his way, he will keep asking. For example, sometimes I give friends TV, which means that Micah gets extra time to play screens with his friends. This is extra time so it is not part of the weekly allotment. Sometimes I say yes to him, sometimes I say no. In the past, if I say no, Micah will get really persistent in asking why. There are times where I told him no more asking, and had to give him consequences for keep asking even when I told him to stop asking. Now, he asks once, then when I tell him no, he will respect my decision and move on to doing something else. I was curious, so I had a discussion with Micah and I asked him what changed. I praised him for his attitude change. Micah said that he prayed to God for a Holy Spirit conscience. I was floored by his use of big words. I asked him what he meant by that. He said that before, he will pray to God so that he won’t get caught. When he secretly goes over his screen time, he would pray that God will help him not get caught and not have any consequences for going over, or for lying. He did that for a bit but his prayers didn’t work. He was caught and received consequences for his actions. Therefore, recently, instead of praying that he does not get caught, he prayed that he will obey and do what the Holy Spirit conscience wants him to do. I was quite touched by what Micah’s said. God apparently has definitely listened to his prayers. I also pray that God gives me the Holy Spirit conscience.
